So you want to fly?

Added to the thrill of learning to fly, having a helicopter pilot's licence can be cost effective and a real time saver. You can fly your friends and colleagues to sporting events, private parties, festivals and conferences and you can even fly them abroad to Europe. Being a helicopter pilot gives you a sense of freedom that most people can only imagine, and the kind of day-to-day independence that most people dream of. It is a sociable world too - learning to fly inevitably means you will get to know other pilots at the airfield you train from. 

MFH Helicopters' Flying School has a long list of successful flying students who became licensed pilots during their time with us. To earn your Private Pilots' Licence (Helicopter) - PPL (H) - takes about 45 hours flying time. You will be have to take both practical flying lessons and written theory exams, and must be deemed medically fit.
