MFH Helicopter Flying School Instructors

Our students always say that learning to fly a helicopter with MFH Helicopters is great fun! Perhaps this explains why we have such a successful student-to-pilot conversion rate. We have learnt from long experience that it is much easier for students to learn when they feel safe and encouraged, while also enjoying the flight and the company of their pilot too. With our instructors MFH students know that they are in expert hands, and whether it's just a one-off trial lesson or a full PPL (H) course, we pride ourselves on putting our students at their ease.

Our Chief Pilot

MFH's chief pilot, Mike Horrell, has over 30 years in the helicopter industry including 17,000 hours experience as a commercial pilot and 25 years experience in aerial photography. He is an instructor in all kinds of aviation, including agricultural, underslung load and spraying. Instructing can include low flying in some really beautiful terrain in the Peak District. If anyone can be called Master of the Skies, it's Mike Horrell.
