At our Peterborough-based Flying School a 30 minute lesson includes a  briefing, a helicopter flight in an R22 and the chance to take the helicopter’s controls mid-air. When they land they will be able to legitimately claim that they have flown a helicopter! Not bad for half an hour’s work.

Alternatively  you can give them a voucher for our Flight Discovery Day which is a training package that includes 2 hours of comprehensive ground briefing and 2 hours of flying – and, again, they will take the helicopter’s controls.

Flying a helicopter is an unforgettable experience  and so, after tuition from our experienced and friendly pilots, learners will have a better idea as to whether they want to to get their licence to become a helicopter pilot either as a hobby or vocation.
